MAGNOLIA

MAGNOLIA is the result of dreams and hard work on behalf of many individuals. The reality of this project has come into being due to special efforts of Senator Grey Ferris of Vicksburg. The 1997 Mississippi Legislature, under Senator Ferris' leadership, has allocated $568,030 for "providing access to periodicals and other databases to public libraries, K-12 schools, community and junior colleges, and universities of the state. . . ."

A significant amount of planning has been accomplished even though this funding was just recently allocated. The Steering Committee, its officers and other subcommittees are listed below.
