Mary Rodgers Beal
MLC Talking Book Service Director
Mary Rodgers Beal has been with the Mississippi Talking Book Services since 2016 and the director since 2018. Mary Rodgers is a Ridgeland, MS, native. She has a Bachelor’s in English from Ole Miss and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mary Rodgers loves to read any sort of mystery or thriller and to hang out with her dog, Scout.

Elizabeth Simmons received her M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and Specialist in Secondary Administration from Delta State University. She is the School Library Specialist at the Mississippi Department of Education. A strong advocate in bridging the information literacy gap, she works with teachers, librarians, and administrators to bring the library to the forefront of curriculum. Her professional interests focus on incorporating new technology into everyday academics.
